Toyota Canada announced yet another recall yesterday afternoon after questions were raised about the safety of one of its vehicles.
Fresh off two voluntary
safety recalls issued Friday for certain Highland, Tundra and Sienna models, the Japanese auto giants Canadian subsidiary posted another warning on its website Monday recalling the 2010 Lexus GX460.
The voluntary safety recall affects roughly 446 2010 models and stems from issues with the
vehicle stability control system first noted by Consumer Reports last week.
Toyotas vehicle and design evaluation objective is to meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements, the company said in a release.
Toyotas engineering team undertook similar tests to confirm the issue raised by Consumer Reports on April 13, 2010 and we are confident that an update to the VSC software addresses the concern.
All Canadian Lexus dealers are slated to have the VSC software update by end of the month. Toyota Canada says owners will be sent information concerning this recall in early May.
