2019 Mazda CX-9 Brings New Features, Refinements To Canadian Market

The second-generation Mazda CX-9 midsize crossover will be bringing several new refinements, technology updates and performance improvements to Canadian car buyers.

The entry 2019 Mazda CX-9 GS will come with standard 18-inch alloy wheels, seven-inch Mazda Connect infotainment screen with revised Commander control knob, cloth seats, LED headlights and tail lights, heated front side mirrors, one-touch front and rear power windows, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear privacy glass, three-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio pairing, keyless entry and push-button start, Smart City Brake Support automatic low-speed emergency braking, and Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

The CX-9 GS also features standard front-wheel drive, and Mazda’s i-ACTIV AWD predictive all-wheel drive system is available. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the CX-9 GS also includes Mazda’s suite of i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies, including full-speed Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Obstruction Warning, Lane Keep-assist System, Lane Departure Warning System, High Beam Control System, and a colour Multi-information Display (MID).

The Mazda CX-9 GS-L model adds 20-inch alloy wheels, power liftgate with programmable height adjustment, power glass moonroof, LED fog lights, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, heated steering wheel, and 10-way power driver’s seat.

Mazda CX-9 GT builds upon those features and adds a new 360° View Monitor, seven-inch TFT reconfigurable gauge cluster display, and ventilated seats first seen in the 2018 Mazda6 midsize sedan.

New for 2019, CX-9 models equipped with SiriusXM also include a complimentary five-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link services, which enables live traffic updates, weather, sports scores and fuel prices.

The 2019 Mazda CX-9 will begin to arrive in select dealerships in Canada this month and will be in dealerships nationwide in September.
