BMW Canada starts work on new regional distribution centre

BMW Group Canada has officially broken ground on a new, state-of-the-art regional parts distribution centre in Mississauga, Ont.
The facility, which should be up and running by the summer of 2018, is a purpose-built 280,000 square foot building that will allow the automaker to deliver parts to its network faster than before.
“The faster delivery of parts means less time away from your car and a more satisfied ownership experience – all top priorities for us,” said Hans Blesse, president and CEO of BMW Group Canada.
The new facility will be 50 per cent larger than its current parts centre and accommodate future expansion opportunities supporting a growing customer base and the corresponding service expectations.
BMW Group’s new regional distribution centre is strategically positioned in Mississauga within close proximity to Pearson International Airport, railyards and major highways – all factors that should expedite inbound and outbound shipments.
