WINNIPEG – Glen Daman is the new president of the Dilawri Auto Group.  He assumed his new position on Feb. 1.

“Glen is very smart and a real car guy,” says Ashok Dilawri, the Dilawri Auto Group’s founder, who is stepping back from running the Dilawri dealerships’ day-to-day operations to concentrate on special projects and expansion opportunities.

“It was the right time to make this change.”

The Dilawri Group currently includes flagship store Winnipeg Honda, Crown Acura, Sunshine Toyota, Crown Nissan, Automax (a pre-owned vehicle showroom), WAM Collision, D-Max (detailing centre) and GAS Performance (a specialty aftermarket and performance accessory showroom) at the Manitoba Auto Mall, Destination Mazda on west Portage near the Perimeter Highway and Crown Honda, the newest member of the family which opened in April.

Dilawri celebrated his company's 25th anniversary in 2009.

For Daman, becoming president of the Dilawri Auto Group represents a homecoming.  He spent ten years working for the Dilawri Group before leaving in 2007 to pursue new avenues in the industry.
