First look at Audi A1

The auto blogosphere is buzzing this morning with chatter about the new premium subcompact offering from Audi, the A1.

Pictures and specs for the city runabout have been released online to much fanfare and discussion from the automotive circles.

The A1 is a small vehicle. With a wheelbase of 97.2 inches, it is shorter than the MINI.
It seats four with rear fold-down seats.

Specs:
- 155.5 inches long
- 68.5 inches wide
- 55.9 inches tall
- 97.2 inch wheelbase
- 32.5 cubic-feet of cargo space with rear seats down
- 61 to 63-per cent of the car’s heft is up front
- Overall curb weight for the base model A1 is 2,304 pounds
