Genesis Canada Introduces Electrified GV70

Genesis Motors Canada has unveiled the third fully-electric vehicle to join its lineup, the 2023 Electrified GV70 and will be available for sale in the first half of 2023.

The GV70, comes with a reverse G-Matrix grille which conceals the hidden charge port, front and rear skid plates, and a unique rear bumper. EV-exclusive standard 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires are accentuated by white brake callipers. The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) features a high-power onboard charger (for home charging) and V2L capability (3.68kW).

The Electrified GV70’s interior applies a sustainable, eco-friendly approach, making use of suede fabrics comprised of yarn made from recycled plastic bottles and waste nets on head lining, pillar trim and sun visors. Electrified GV70 also offers an exclusive Mood lighting treatment complemented by a new Glacier White interior.

The Electrified GV70 is equipped with Smart Regenerative Braking and Road Active Noise Control (ANC-R) to reduce road noise caused by vibrations that are transmitted to the cabin through vehicle’s suspension and body. A controller receives information from accelerometers and microphones, analyzes the information and produces an inverted sound wave to counter interior noise for each seating position.

Available with all-wheel drive for the Canadian market, the 2023 Electrified GV70 Prestige promises a refined and serene driving experience. Seating is adorned in rich Nappa leather. The 14-way power driver seat offers four-way power lumbar support and cushion extension as well as an Ergo massage function. Both driver and 12-way power passenger seat with four-way power lumbar support are heated and ventilated. Additional standard features include a Surround View Monitor and Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), a heated steering wheel, a 15 speaker 1,050-watt Lexicon Premium Audio system (with Quantum logic surround sound), head up display, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear climate control and heated seats.
