ORANGEVILLE, ONT. – The Brackett Auto Group has broken ground on a renovation project at Orangeville Chrysler.

The project will make the store, which sits on Highway 9 in the town roughly an hour northwest of Toronto, one of the biggest in the area.

Local media report the renovated dealership will top out at more than 29,000 square feet with a 16-car showroom, extended car lot and new sales and business offices.

The Orangeville Citizen reported the Brackett Auto Group bought the dealership roughly two years ago. Company president Danny Brackett said the project represents a large investment for the group and that they are pleased the increased capacity will let them better serve the community.

“We’re very pleased that we have been able to employ all local people and local businesses in helping to make our vision for this facility become a reality,” Brackett told the Orangeville Citizen.

“That’s one of my personal missions as a businessman – to try and ensure that I keep things local whenever and wherever I can. I feel that’s very important.”

The project is expected to take six months.
