There is a new man at the helm of Kia Canada.
Kyle Lee was named the new president and CEO this week, taking over for Sean Yoon who will now head operations in the U.S.
Lee joins Kia Canada from his previous role as chief executive coordinator at Kia Motors America and has a wealth of experience with the brand in several European markets.
“These changes can provide great learning opportunities and our whole organization is very excited to work with our new president and CEO…” said Ted Lancaster, vice-president and COO at Kia Canada.
“We’re looking forward to learning from his experiences to continue growing the Kia brand within the Canadian market.”
Sales for the Korean brand dipped in Canada last month by 4.3 per cent versus the same time in 2017.
Sales have been led lately by Sorento, Forte, Sportage and Soul.
The automaker is likely also eager to see the Niro PHEV compact SUV added to the lineup sometime this summer.
