The Canadian Automobile Dealers Association board of directors has elected British Columbia dealer Neil Kalawsky as the new chairman.

The decision, made at a recent meeting in Edmonton, will put Kalawsky in charge of the association as the CADA works towards its 2010 Strategic Plan.

“With an extensive and award winning background in selling both domestic and import brands backed up by association involvement at both the Provincial and National level B.C. dealer Neil W. Kalawsky will bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for helping his fellow dealers to his term as CADA Chairman for the 2009-10 term,” the CADA said in a release.

Outgoing director William Taylor will help the transition and work as immediate past chairman.
