New Jaguar Land Rover store ‘last of its kind’

BROSSARD, QUE. – Construction has started on the latest dealership in the John Scotti Automotive Group fold.

Called Jaguar Land Rover Brossard, the new store is actually an extension on the existing John Scotti Volvo dealership on the South Shore in Montreal.

Felix Scotti Jr. said this arrangement would be the last time it would happen in Canada as the group already owns a Jaguar Land Rover store connected to a Volvo dealership in Saint-Leonard.

“We are adding a showroom to the Volvo store purely for Jaguar Land Rover that will be about 8,000 square feet,” he said, adding that a second-story customer lounge in the glass fronted showroom will be strictly reserved for customers and replete wireless Internet, televisions, a reading area and stocked café.

Additions included eight new lifts to the current 14-lift service bay. The new store is expected to double the current drive-thru area for service customers and new car delivery.

Scotti Jr. said the group is expecting a lot of volume as there are many people on the South Shore that want Jaguars and Land Rovers but don’t want the hassle of “the bridges and the tunnels” when needing to travel for service.

The nearest Jaguar Land Rover store is owned by the John Scotti Automotive Group and is roughly 30 minutes away.

He would not share costs saying instead they were investing “a lot” and probably more than some other Jaguar Land Rover dealers have put into their buildings.

The showroom will follow the automaker’s latest image program and is scheduled to open this April.

“We have high hopes for this store,” he said. “We are 10 minutes from downtown Montreal and near three major highways. Plus, we are the first to bring these brands to the South Shore.”

The John Scotti Automotive Group currently runs 11 dealerships representing Subaru, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lotus and Lamborghini.
