The future has changed at Future Hyundai. The Mississauga dealership will now be known as 401/Dixie Hyundai after AutoCanada Inc. finalized  its purchase of the shop in mid-April.

Pat Priestner, CEO of AutoCanada, said the latest acquisition would allow the dealer group to expand its platform in the Toronto area.

“Hyundai is a great franchise that has experienced strong growth and has developed a world-class product line up,” Priestner added in a release.

AutoCanada is a multi-location  dealer group based in Edmonton, Alta. It currently runs over 20 dealerships across six provinces. Last year alone, AutoCanada says it sold over 23,000 vehicles and processed roughly 300,000 service orders helping generate the company’s $777 million  revenue tally.

The former Future Hyundai had been operating since 1996.
