NANAIMO, B.C – Standing on the same location as the former Three-Point Motors, Mercedes-Benz executives joined dealer Sylvester Chuang as he officially opened his new facility, now dubbed Mercedes-Benz Nanaimo.

Located at the commercial heart of Nanaimo, the 14,000-square foot building represents what the automaker termed as a “considerable investment in the area that will significantly expand the capacity of the dealership.”

The open-concept showroom spans nearly 6,000 square feet and features product from Mercedes-Benz, AMG, Sprinter and smart lineups.

A service area features four service bays and one oversized bay designed to accommodate Sprinter vans.

“This will provide sufficient capacity to further improve processes and better serve the after-sales, parts and accessories needs of valued customers.”

In addition, a 2,200 square foot drive-thru will provide customers a convenient vehicle drop-off or pick-up area that protects them from inclement weather.

Chuang, who owned the previous Three-Point Motors and another Mercedes dealership in Ontario, said the overall layout of the entire facility follows the trademark Auto Haus design concept – something the automaker said guarantees a consistent brand identity for each dealership in the company’s cross-Canada network, regardless of location.

“Sylvester Chuang has been a trusted long-time partner of Mercedes-Benz Canada, and we applaud his decision to expand operations in Nanaimo by constructing a beautiful new retail facility,” said Hannu Ylanko, V-P of national sales.

“This substantial investment has solidified our commitment to this growing market. We are confident that this new dealership will provide an excellent foundation from which to better serve the needs of existing customers in the area, while also providing a platform to further expand our client base.”
