MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. – After 20 years in operation, Maple Ridge Hyundai has changed hands and its management structure.
Dave and Vaughn Wyant sold the dealership for an undisclosed amount to Kelowna-area dealers John Kot and Guy Lemieux.
Since October 2011, the pair have own and manage two dealerships in Kelowna: Kelowna Hyundai and Buy Direct Truck Centre.
Before moving to Kelowna and purchasing these dealerships, Kot said he had held several top executive positions for large automotive dealer groups in Alberta.
Acquiring over 25 years of experience in sales and fixed operations, Lemieux took advantage of a great opportunity and purchased Kelowna Hyundai with his longtime friend, Guy Lemieux.
The new owners said they would be splitting their time between Kelowna and Maple Ridge. To help them manage the day-to-day operations of the dealership, they have employed Perry Papadogonas as general manager.
Kot said Papadogonas brings over 15 years of experience, which will “allow him to pave the way for even greater growth of the company in the years to come.”
“Our team is devoted to offering a unique approach to working with customers, and we are truly fortunate to be part of an organization that stays ahead of the pack and continuously exceeds expectations,” Kot said. “Now we are looking forward to raising the bar on those expectations and helping more people find the vehicle that suits their lifestyle.”
