PBS Systems confirmed it would be back on the road in 2014 with its travelling workshop program.
The Alberta-based firm said it would host four advanced workshops next year starting with an accounting workshop in July.
An advanced parts workshop is set for August, an advanced sales workshop will run in October and the advanced service workshop is scheduled for next November.
“For each workshop series, senior PBS staff tour around the country, meeting with dealer personnel to provide advanced training on department-specific features,” the company said in a release.
It said new features and enhancements are added on a “regular basis” and that advanced workshop is designed to help dealership partners to make the most of their PBS software with a focus on the new features.
“PBS encourages attendees of the travelling workshops to bring a tablet or laptop so they can log into their own system and follow along with their trainer. This approach makes the instruction process more successful.”
Lynn McNeill, senior V-P of PBS, said they had just wrapped up the last of our 2013 workshops where they offered advanced service training for dealership personnel.
“We have received some terrific feedback and will continue to invest in this type of face-to-face training for our dealer partners,” he added.
Besides the travelling workshops, PBS hosts an annual conference where in-depth training is provided for all dealership departments.
Next year’s conference will be held September in Calgary.
This coming March will see PBS host a two-day seminar in Toronto specifically geared toward those who could not attend the 2013 conference.
