VICTORIA, B.C. – Canada’s classic Porsche owners can rejoice as one of the stores in the brand’s Canadian network has earned a top distinction for the luxury line.
Porsche Centre Victoria has been named the newest Certified Porsche Classic Partner making it just the fourth of its kind in North America and 39th globally.
The certification means the store can provide owners of Porsche models older than 10 years genuine parts, service and classic car sales.
“Porsche Centre Victoria was a natural fit to become a Porsche Classic Partner to showcase the range of service that will be provided to Porsche Classic owners,” said Porsche Canada chief Alexander Pollich.
“Over 70 per cent of all Porsche’s sold globally are still on the road today, and with a responsibility to help maintain these classic models and owner enthusiasm, Porsche established Porsche Classic in 2005. We are certainly thrilled to mark this momentous occasion and have the first Porsche Classic Corner in Canada open.”
According to the company, the store’s showroom will have dedicated Porsche Classic Corner.
The move comes as little surprise given who owns the store: Porsche Centre Victoria is part of the GAIN Group co-owned by Sylvester Chuang and Peter Trzewik, the same team behind the innovative Vancouver Island Motorsports Circuit.
The circuit, which officially opened in June, is a private racetrack nestled in the picturesque Cowichan Valley about 35 minutes from downtown Victoria. The 13-store group spent more than $20 million building the world-class facility and corresponding resort to help promote Canada’s motorsports scene and operate as a great sales tool for luxury buyers.
GAIN also retails BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo and Audi, among others.
