Sharp shooters and fine weather at TADA annual golf outing

MILTON, ONT. – Dealers, suppliers, auction personnel and industry movers and shakers had another day of great weather for the annual Trillium Automobile Dealers’ Association annual golf tournament.

Held again at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton, Ont., the double 18-hole tournament remains a big draw as nearly 300 golfers teed it up on Wednesday.

As in years past, the event featured two courses with 18-hole best ball low gross and net scrambles along with play-your-own-ball gross and net competitions.

The winner of the individual competition low net was Jim Suske with a 63. He bested Steve Milette, Michael Loveys and David Kostichuk.

The winner of the low gross competition was Rick Valin (for the second year in a row) who beat out CDK Global Canada head Dean Anton, Bill Bratt and Quinn Millar.

The winners of the team low net competition with a stunning score of 52 – that’s 20 under par – was Ruth McBride, Don Romano, Steve Milette and Jeff Hewitt.

The top team in the scramble net was Ryan Mahoney, Alex Murphy, Steve Lavery and Todd Chevalier with a score of 61.

Ken Gyles, Don Zumpano, Ken Mossop and Steve Didycz finished first in the team scramble gross competition with a score of 60.

TADA rep Ken Shaw Jr. addressed the crowd following dinner and said the annual event is a highlight on the calendar for the association and its members because it gives everyone a chance to connect outside of the office.

He also noted the 10 previous association presidents in attendance along with the slew of sponsors.

If you didn’t manage to get a spot in this year’s tournament, TADA reps wanted to remind everyone the association will be hosting its Trillium North annual golf tournament on August 20.

It will again be contested at the Muskoka Bay Club in Gravenhurst, Ont. Anyone interested in participating is asked to contact the organizers at brendas@tada.ca or visit www.tada.ca.
