CORNER BROOK, NL. – The Steele Auto Group is starting 2016 much the same way it began last year – by growing.

The Atlantic Canada dealership group announced this week it has purchased Parkway Hyundai in Corner Brook, NL.

Jim Grant has owned the point for 18 years. Financial details were not disclosed.

“Corner Brook is a thriving market, and Parkway Hyundai is a well-run, firmly-established dealership,” says Steele Auto Group chief Rob Steele.

Approval of the transaction is pending with a closing date tentatively scheduled for Mar. 1.

The Dartmouth-based group is currently comprised of 21 dealerships and six collision centres. Its acquisition activity in 2015 saw the additions of Colonial Honda in Halifax, Subaru of Moncton and Coleman’s Autohaus in Bridgewater, N.S.
