DIEPPE, N.B. – The Steele Auto Group has added Subaru of Moncton to its fold.
The growing Atlantic Canada dealership group, currently comprised of 17 dealerships and five collision centres, says the purchase is subject to OEM approval but that the transaction should close in August.
“We’ve operated a Subaru dealership in Halifax for eight years, and it’s a perfect fit for us to expand into Moncton,” company president Rob Steele said in a release.
“Subaru is a tremendous brand, popular across all demographics as being a solid, dependable, attractive product.”
Subaru of Moncton has been operated for the last 12 years by Vincent Lee. While financial details were not disclosed, Lee said in a statement that he was please his customers will continue to be served by the new owners.
It has been a busy year for the East Coast group. Steele received Volkswagen Canada’s approval on the purchase of Coleman’s Autohaus back in February. It also completed a $9 million ground-up rebuild of its stunning Audi Halifax store earlier this summer.
