TRADER Corporation, in partnership with inventory management software company vAuto, announced the release of AutoWriter, an automated description writing tool within the vAuto Provision Suite.
Following a successful launch in the U.S., TRADER invested in bringing the AutoWriter tool to automotive retailers across Canada.
AutoWriter simplifies the merchandising process for automotive retailers while enhancing the quality of their online vehicle listings. The tool uses customizable descriptions that are designed based on the individual retailer’s selection criteria and unique vehicle attributes.
The tool also features:
- Easy-to-use writing and editing capabilities at the click of a button
- Comprehensive vehicle features added from OEM sites for supercharged Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Accurate like-for-like OEM Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program details published directly to vehicle listings
- Make/model specific reviews and vehicle awards
- Dynamic descriptions on Used Car listings
“We know through our consumer research that 82 per cent of car shoppers use online sources including autoTRADER.ca and dealership websites as part of their vehicle purchase process,” said Matt Lawson, vice-president, dealer software & OEM at TRADER. “Viewing and researching vehicles online is their primary influence for making buying decisions, which is why it’s extremely important for dealers to profile the key attributes of every VIN-specific vehicle online. The new AutoWriter tool automates the process for dealers by creating unique and rich vehicle descriptions for every piece of inventory, making them highly relevant to each consumer and giving the dealer the ability to stand out in the crowd.”
Automotive retailers can also optimize their vehicle descriptions through keyword suggestions for higher exposure in search results. Descriptions can be generated in under a minute and published to any third-party site to save both time and resources for customers.
“AutoWriter is unlike any other tool as it cuts down time on vehicle merchandising and quickly generates descriptions based on the dealers’ preferences,” said Randy Kobat, senior vice-president for vAuto. “These detailed descriptions grab the attention of online consumers and encourages them to interact with the listings.”
