WINNIPEG, MAN. – On Feb. 16, Auto Haus Porsche, Manitoba's only Porsche dealership, hosted one of the store’s usual festive evenings to unveil the latest model. Roughly 150 guests came out to enjoy some wine, hors d'oeuvres, live music and to meet the 2013 Carrera 991.

The evening not only marked the arrival of the new model, but also served as a farewell for Auto Haus Porsche. Managing partner Gerald Boiteau revealed Auto Haus Porsche, long one of Canada’s top-selling Porsche dealers, is moving.

Auto Haus Porsche has always shared its building with Auto Haus Volkswagen on Pembina Highway in Winnipeg.

Come the fall though, the dealership will begin operations under its new name, Porsche Centre of Winnipeg, in what is currently Auto Haus’ on-site autobody shop.

“Porsche Centre of Winnipeg will be a boutique store,” Boiteau says. “It will be the finest boutique dealership in Western Canada.”

The new store will have a six-car showroom and a full service and parts department. One prominent feature, Boiteau says, will be a “fitting lounge” where customers can custom order their Porsches.

He reports that work will begin on the project in April.
