DataScan Field Services expands partnership with VW Credit Canada

Volkswagen’s captive finance division said it has expanded its partnership with DataScan Field Services to include off lease inspection services.
DataScan, one of the industry’s largest automotive floorplan inventory verification and off-lease vehicle inspection companies, has been performing floorplan audits for VW Credit Canada since 2012 and for VW Credit’s U.S. operations since 2008.
“We are very pleased to expand our partnership with VCCI, which is a recognized and respected brand in Canada,” said Brent Sergot, DataScan president.
“DataScan is well positioned to assist with their continued success.”
One of the largest vehicle inspection and audit companies in North America, DataScan works with major OEMs, captive finance companies, banks and leasing companies in Canada. DataScan also provides wholesale management system services.
“For more than 15 years, DataScan has continued to build a professional, well-trained field force of inspectors, cultivate dedicated client relations support and create a first-class operations group,” said Richard Carpentier, chief of DataScan’s Canadian operations.
“This extensive experience also gives us a deeper understanding of how critical it is to provide transparency in the end-of-lease process.” DataScan is focused on servicing clients in Canada with a bi-lingual staff who can assist lessees in French or English. It also has two regional offices in Toronto and Montreal dedicated to providing support.
The company said it also offers clients an online scheduling tool which helps both dealers and lessees coordinate the inspection and end-of-lease process. DataScan is owned by parent company JM Family Enterprises. It currently serves more than 100 clients across North America.
