New Sym-Tech executive to spur further growth


Chris Cawston has been named the new president and general manager of Sym-Tech Dealer Services.
The industry veteran, who boasts over 35 years of leadership and executive experience, will focus on growth to achieve results for all stakeholders.
“As Sym-Tech continues to grow and add more dealers across Canada, I am confident that Chris is the right person to lead our company in the future,” Sym-Tech chief Brad Wells says.
“He has a proven ability to create strategic clarity, drive innovation and growth, and ensure disciplined execution. His experience with financial services and the automotive industry, and his passion for delivering results will ensure that Sym-Tech continues to deliver innovative solutions and performance improvement to our clients across the country.”
Sym-Tech is an F&I provider that reps say is looking to continue its growth plans in product, technology and service offerings to dealerships, dealer groups and OEM’s.
For his part, Cawston says he is excited at the new opportunity.
“Sym-Tech has established a solid reputation in the Canadian marketplace, and we will continue to expand and deepen our relationships as we work with our clients to achieve stronger performance and superior F&I results,” he says.
Prior to joining Sym-Tech, he was CEO of The Cawston Group where he provided strategic advisory services to the automotive sector and other growth oriented clients including OMERS, Dealer Tire, TrueCar and EnerCare.
He was also the president and CEO of SCI Marketview.
