Hunter expanding capabilities of two products

Hunter Engineering says it has a few new additions to its current line up of alignment systems, wheel and tire service, brake service and inspection lane equipment that could help in your service garage.

First is a new bead press arm upgrade kit for its TC3700 and TC3500 tire changers. The kit is said to enhance the capabilities of both tire changers and help service “difficult wheel and tire combinations.”

“The bead press arm pushes and holds stiff sidewalls in the drop-center position of a rim as the wheel rotates to ease demounting or mounting and greatly reduce stress to the bead and operator,” the company said in a release.

The upgrade kit works with all current and preceding Hunter TC3700 and TC3500 tire changer models.

The second concerns the release of WinAlign software that includes operational enhancements to the “award-winning” CodeLink steering system reset tool.

According to Hunter representatives, WinAlign 11.1 now includes a new CodeLink printout that shows before-and-after steering sensor values, lists any relative diagnostic trouble codes read before and after the procedure, and reports the success of the steering system reset.

“The CodeLink printout can be used along with the alignment measurement printout to document service and show the customer completed work,” the company said in a release.

WinAlign 11.1 also includes additional updates to improve CodeLink’s interaction with the technician and further increase efficiency. CodeLink quickly and resets steering angle and other related sensors to match the final alignment angles of the vehicle, as required by the OEM, to complete an alignment.

“CodeLink is the only integrated tool that makes this service fast, simple, and affordable,” the company adds.
