Trevor Henderson is the new COO. Since joining the auction company in 2002, Henderson has lead operations and technology teams in creating, developing and setting up business and online auto remarketing programs the company shared.

ADESA said he also played a role in the developing products such as ADESA LiveBlock and ADESA DealerBlock.

He was promoted to vice-president of e-business and business development in 2008. And, in 20011, he was named managing director of OPENLANE Canada, an ADESA company.

“This appointment further represents our commitment to our Canadian customers and allows us to build upon an already strong history,” said ADESA president and CEO Stéphane St-Hilaire.

“Trevor has vast institutional knowledge of the auction business. He has proven to be a strong leader and has previously demonstrated his ability to grow our Internet-based remarking platforms. He will play an integral role developing new products and technology initiatives for our customers and our company.”

Henderson will report to St-Hilaire. The appointment is effective June 6.

Elsewhere, Richard Kennedy was named general manager at ADESA Halifax.

“I am truly pleased to announce Richard’s appointment to his new position,” said Lisa Scott, ADESA Canada senior vice-president of sales, marketing and Atlantic operations.

“His experience will be extremely valuable in this role. I am confident that he will do an exceptional job managing the Halifax site.”

Kennedy first joined ADESA Toronto as service manager in 1999. He has held numerous positions at the auction, including operations manager and assistant general manager.
