Hyundai’s next-generation fuel cell vehicle, the NEXO, made its debut in Vancouver.

The NEXO, the latest edition to Hyundai’s expanding line of eco-vehicles, was unveiled as part of a joint event with The Canadian Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Coalition, made up of automakers seeking to advance the engineering, safety and environmental benefits of fuel cell vehicles in Canada. The NEXO has an estimated range of 600 km on a single charge.

“Hyundai is the first automotive manufacturer to bring two generations of fuel cell vehicles to the Canadian market – first with the Tucson fuel cell, and now the all-new NEXO,” said Don Romano, president and CEO of Hyundai Canada. “The launch of NEXO reinforces Hyundai Motor Group’s plan to bring 18 eco-friendly vehicles to global markets by 2025 to help pave the way for a greener future.”
