Stephen Lester will start his new role as managing director for Infiniti Canada on April 1.
Reporting to Nissan chief Christian Meunier and Randy Parker, V-P of Infiniti Americas, Lester will be looking to build on the brand’s recent success in the Canadian premium automotive market.
Infiniti posted its best year ever in Canada in 2014 with new car sales exceeding 10,000 units for the first time.
“Adding strong and experienced Canadian leaders to our management teams will be critical to our success as we continue to implement our growth plan for Infiniti in Canada,” Meunier said in a release.
“Stephen has shown great leadership and strategic thinking since joining our team as national general manager and we are excited to have him lead the Infiniti brand into the future.”
Lester brings more than 12 years of experience in automotive. Most recently, he worked as Infiniti’s national general manager where he was responsible for sales and service operations, retailer performance and generating business development.
Previous to his Infiniti experience, he held management positions with BMW Group in regional development and brand marketing in both Canada and Germany.
