Lancaster moves to Kia

Kia named Ted Lancaster its new V-P and COO.
Lancaster joins the Korean brand from Nissan, where he previously worked as V-P of field sales and sales operations.
“I am looking forward to the next challenge of my career here at Kia Canada,” Lancaster said in a statement.
“Working collaboratively with our network of dealers and Kia Canada employees is a top priority in order to continue driving our mutual success.”
He boasts a strong resume with over 20 years of auto industry experience.
Kia Canada chief M.K. Kim said they are excited with the appointment and are looking forward to the future with Lancaster.
“Ted holds exceptional leadership skills, sound business judgement and integrity, and will certainly influence the operations of the company towards continued success,” Kim added.
Lancaster will be responsible for both the daily and strategic operations of the sales, marketing, after sales and legal departments. The position was previously held by Maria Soklis, who left Kia earlier this summer to head Cox Automotive Canada.
