This month sees the launch of Mazda’s 2019 CX-3 subcompact crossover that looks to improve on its predecessor with new features and a new look.
Showcased at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, the updated 2019 Mazda CX-3 features a redesigned centre console and armrest, as well as redesigned front seats. The standard Mazda Connect features a seven-inch, full-colour display that combines infotainment and diagnostic functions that can be controlled through voice command or the multi-function Commander control knob. Smart City Brake Support continues to be a standard safety feature on all CX-3 models.
The CX-3 GX is standard with the SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual transmission but is available with the SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and drive selection switch. Mazda’s predictive i-ACTIV all-wheel drive is also available on every CX-3 model, including GX. The mid-level CX-3 GS upgrades to 16-inch alloy wheels and adds heated exterior mirrors, automatic on/off headlights, rain-sensing wipers, heated steering wheel, automatic climate control, and new piano black pillar accents. The GS Luxury Package brings leatherette-trimmed upholstery with cloth accents, power glass moonroof, and upgraded stitching detail on the front and rear armrests,
All 2019 CX-3 models come equipped with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter engine, rated to deliver 148 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 146 lb-ft torque at 2,800 RPM.
