PBS announced that PBS Systems Group has purchased all shares of DIS (Dealer Information Systems) Limited based in Mississauga, Ontario.
DIS has been providing software applications and information technology solutions to the independent and franchise dealership market in Canada and abroad for more than 30 years. Their product offering includes an automotive DMS, as well as online software tools being used by various OEM captive finance companies. DIS products are currently being used by over 3,000 dealerships across six countries in North America and Europe.
“DIS is a well-respected software and technology company that we have known for years,” said Dave Bradley, president and CEO with PBS Systems. “This merger comes at an exciting time, as PBS is growing our Ontario-based Client Services teams. The opening of our new facility in Milton gives us the space to quadruple our Ontario staff, and we look forward to welcoming Tom Hope and the DIS staff into the new building. Their wealth of knowledge and experience will prove invaluable. The future for everyone looks extremely exciting.”
“We are very excited to join PBS,” added Tom Hope, DIS president. “I’ve come to know that PBS shares the same values of strong customer support and quality in their products. The synergies generated by bringing the two companies together creates a very bright future for our mutual customers and our staff.”
Over the coming months, PBS will be working with DIS on merging all operations including cross training of staff.
