Porsche confirms new model in the works

Porsche is sticking with spice after confirming rumours that a new model is the works for the luxury automaker.

Under the working name of Cajun, the new model series is expected to be a sporty SUV built on the success of the Cayenne.

The automaker says the Supervisory Board of Porsche AG has instructed the Board of Management to drive forward the development of a new model series.

“The Cajun will feature typical Porsche characteristics such as light weight, ease of handling and agility,” the company said in a brief release issued Monday.

The Cajun is expected to attract new and younger customers to the Porsche brand.
