Sony Honda Mobility Unveil AFEELA at CES 2023 in Las Vegas

Sony Honda Mobility unveiled its new brand AFEELA and showcased a prototype of the company’s first EV vehicle to be made by their new car brand that attendees at CES 2023 in Las Vegas can get a closer look at.

Yasuhide Mizuno, Sony Honda Mobility’s CEO told assembled press the new company will base commercial production based on the revealed prototype with pre-orders for the vehicle to begin in the first half of 2025 and sales by the end 2025, and first deliveries to be made in North America in the spring of 2026.

He continued that the prototype is made to demonstrate a new relationship between people and mobility, one that seamlessly integrates both the real and virtual world. The vehicle will feature Honda’s driver and safety technology while the interior is designed to be people-centric and made to reduce distractions while at the same time providing maximum functionality. Safety is enhanced both inside and out with 45 cameras and sensors. Sony Honda Mobility also announced a partnership with Epic Games, creators of the popular game Fortnite, to help enhance the vehicle’s digital displays and interfaces.
