Toyota Canada nearing recall repair completion

After a litany of recalls affecting the majority of its line up, Toyota Canada announces it is nearing 100 per cent repair rate for sticking pedals and ABS software updates.
Fixes have been performed on more than 230,000 Canadian vehicles. That includes 225,924 of the 268,908 units recalled because of sticking accelerator pedals and 4,633 for software updates on certain 2010 Prius and Lexus HS 250h models.
“We are pleased with the progress to date, however we are striving to have all vehicles remedied as quickly as possible,” the company said in a release. “Our Toyota and Lexus dealer networks, through their extraordinary efforts, will continue to meet the needs of our customers as swiftly and conveniently as possible.”
In addition, Toyota and Lexus owners are being encouraged to join Club Toyota or Club Lexus, through which they can receive recall information specific to their vehicle and automated online service reminders from Toyota Canada among the many other benefits.
For those owners who have not had either fix made, Toyota urges they contact their local dealer to have the repair made.
