Trotman Auto Group (TAG) Grows To Eleven Dealerships

British Columbia-based Trotman Auto Group (TAG) is growing to 11 dealerships with the acquisition of two dealerships from the Haley Automotive Group, Haley GM in Sechelt, B.C. and Haley White Rock Chrysler in Surrey, B.C.

These most recent additions are TAG’s first GM dealership and their fourth Chrysler (FCA) dealership.

Haley GM will now be known as Sunshine Coast GM, and TAG is excited to be welcoming over 35 new team members to is dealership group. The new name reflects the expanding community and region that TAG is proud to serve.

TAG’s fourth FCA dealership, White Rock Dodge, was previously owned by Joe Haley who purchased the dealership from his father, Brian, in 2001. The Haley Group has proudly operated out of the South Surrey Automall since 1985 where the dealership remains today. It employs 35 full and part-time team members.

TAG’s philosophy of people development and promotion from within its organization has provided growth opportunities and promotions for many team members with the acquisition of the Haley dealerships.

“We are excited on so many fronts with our latest acquisition,” said Mike Trotman, TAG’s CEO. “We are thrilled to welcome a new, world-class brand into our group with our first General Motors dealership. Our relationship and commitment to FCA continues to grow and leads the province of B.C. with our number of locations and retail volume. We continue to expand and serve the communities in the local BC market that we love. And, we are privileged to take the baton from a superb, long-time competitor and colleague in Joe Haley. We wish Joe and his family all the best as he begins a new chapter.”
