Volkswagen has announced that the ID.4, Volkswagen’s first all-electric SUV, officially arrives in Canada.

Built on Volkswagen’s MEB electric vehicle architecture, the ID.4 competes in Canada‘s largest market segment—compact SUVs—and is currently produced in Germany for the Canadian market. Initial availability will be in the provinces of Quebec and British Columbia, with Ontario deliveries to follow shortly. A national rollout is slated to begin in the second half of 2022 when a new assembly plant in Chattanooga, TN starts production.

The ID.4 offer structure is simple: two trims and one package. The RWD Pro model is well-equipped, with an extensive standard features list. Pricing starts at $44,995 MSRP, before a Federal rebate of $5,000. The ID.4 AWD Pro is priced at $49,995. The Statement Package is available for $8,000 and includes larger wheels, leatherette seating, power seats, and numerous additional features. Destination for all ID.4 models is $1,950.
