Roughly 1,160 Volvos in Canada are part of a larger, 10,000-vehicle recall issued by the Swedish car maker today concerning a potential problem with a wiring connector in the air bag system.
According to published reports, the recall includes certain S80 sedans and XC70 crossover vehicles from the 2010-2011 model year and model year 2010 V70 wagons.
The connector, the automaker said, might prevent the front air bag from protecting the driver in a crash.
More information about the issue is expected shortly.
