Volvo Rolls Out Vehicle Subscription Service

Volvo Cars has announced the launch of Care By Volvo in Canada, a subscription-based program for car ownership.

Using a smartphone, Canadians can order a new car in less than 10 minutes. The subscription includes services like winter tire installation and storage, 24/7 roadside assistance, and a concierge service that assists subscribers through every step of the process including coordinating delivery with their local Volvo retailer.

“Traditional models of ownership need to be challenged and that’s exactly what we’re doing with Care by Volvo,” said Alexander Lvovich, managing director, Volvo Car Canada Ltd.. “The subscription service combines the benefits of tomorrow’s technology with the everyday needs of people today – more time for the things they love, fewer distractions, and a clearly defined and predictable cost. We’re proud to be the first in Canada to offer consumers a different way to own and enjoy a car.”

The first two cars available in Canada are the Volvo V60 luxury estate and the Volvo S60 sports sedan. Subscription pricing starts at $949 plus tax per month.
