With the help of the brand-new Impreza (991 units) and the WRX STI (170 units), Subaru dealers sold 2,493 units to end the year with 26,984 units sold.
In percentage terms, that was 6.2 per cent more than December 2010. The grand total of 26,984 sold in the old year market the second-best ever Subaru has had in Canada.
“We’re very proud of these results, achieved in spite of the extra challenges faced by Japanese manufacturers after the devastating tsunami last March,” said Shiro Ohta, president/CEO Subaru Canada.
“We’ve also recently learned that the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) has recognized us again as the only manufacturer with a 2012 Top Safety Pick winner for all models.
This year’s results reflect the fact that consumers have a lot of confidence in the value and safety that is built in to every Subaru vehicle.”
