September sales were up 19 per cent versus one year ago, representing the company's best September sales since 2001.

Passenger car sales doubled for the Pentastar brand in September. The automaker said sales were led by the Chrysler 200, which enjoyed 866 sales last month compared to 484 for August, 2011.
