Honda releases teaser images of new Accord

Honda has revealed the first images of its all-new 2013 Honda Accord sedan and coupe. Set to hit dealerships this fall, the redesigned stalwart for the Japanese automaker is being called the “most sculpted Accord ever.”
New exterior styling starts in the front with bold new grille and hood combination.
This ninth-generation embraces a customer focus from the inside out, Honda says, adding that interior packaging allows for increased passenger and cargo space in both the sedan and the coupe, while the overall exterior lengths are noticeably shortened, contributing to a sportier driving character and easier parking.
“We are confident in the timeless design of the all-new Accord and feel it is the most sculpted and most dynamic Accord yet,” said Dave Jamieson, assistant vice president, Honda Canada.
“The exterior design of the new Accord evolved naturally from a focus on interior space and the needs of all passengers inside.”
The new Accord also boasts low-drag exterior surfaces including nearly flush windshield glass, flush-mounted windshield wipers and careful under-body tailoring promise enhanced fuel efficiency.
Premium details like available LED daytime running lights, headlights and taillights hint at the sophisticated technology and luxury available inside.
There is no word on price yet or trim options. Canadian AutoWorld will be present later this month in California for the Canadian press launch of the new Accord so be sure to check back in for more details about the car.
