Lexus wraps up LFA production

After two years of production at a special vehicle workshop in Japan, Lexus has churned out its last LFA.

Built at a rate of about one per day, the handcrafted halo car was one of the most sought after, low-production run vehicles in recent memory.

Despite the hype, Lexus was adamant from the onset that only 500 LFAs would be built. Larry Hutchinson, then director of Lexus in Canada, told Canadian AutoWorld at the 2011 Canadian International Auto Show that only 10 LFAs would make it to Canada – and that all of them were spoken for.

The super sports car topped out at over US$375,000.
