Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada Inc. set a new best January sales record and made it four record months in a row with 1,412 units sold last month.
This monthly total marks a 29.9 per cent increase over the same month last year.
According to the automaker, the Outlander led the record month with sales of 573 units, an 8.7 per cent jump year-to-year. The new RVR achieved its best month so far in the vehicle’s short history achieving sales of 452 units.
Sales of the two models generated a 93 per cent increase in truck sales compared to January 2010.
“This strong start to 2011, the launch of the new RVR and a strengthened dealer network in place for 2011 points to a strong sales year for Mitsubishi in Canada,” the company said in a release.
