Porsche continues sales climb

Porsche Cars Canada continues to defy sales gravity with the recording of yet another record sales month and best May ever.

The automaker reported May sales of 309 units, good enough for a 60 per cent jump compared to the same time last year.

It was also the second month in a row the luxury line moved over 300 units.

The new Cayenne continued its success, though Porsche says SUV sales were less than 50 per cent of the total sold. Sports car sales remained strong, up 7 per cent over last May.

Certified pr-owned vehicles tallied 85 units sold.

Year-to-date, Porsche has sole 1,154 vehicles representing a 46 per cent gain over the same period last year.
