Porsche sales drop by 19 per cent

Porsche Cars Canada posted an uncharacteristic loss after reporting July sales of 200 units.
That tally marked a dip of 19 per cent from July 2010’s record total of 248.
The new Cayenne, whose first full month on sale in Canada was last July, continues to be constrained by supply issues. Canadian dealers sold 89 Cayenne in July as opposed to 109 in the same month last year.
Totals for all models were down slightly.
Porsche’s certified pre-owned program did post a positive figure with a jump of 17 per cent over the 59 units sold in July 2010.
Year to date, Porsche has sold 1,596 vehicles, up 31 per cent over the same period in 2010.
