September brings second-best sales ever for BMW


BMW Group Canada reported sales of 3,496 units for the month of September, a decline of 11.4 per cent as compared to September 2012.
Year-to-date totals are also down with 27,465 representing a decrease of 4.3 per cent over the same period in 2012.
Despite the poor result, BMW Canada chief Eduardo Villaverde said it marked the brand’s second best September for BMW and MINI combined.
The BMW brand reported sales of 2,927 units in September, a decline of 12.1 per cent compared to September 2012. On the year, 23,062 retails have been reported, a decrease of 3.3 per cent over the same period last year.
MINI reported 569 units in September, a decrease of 7.2 per cent over September 2012. Year-to-date, a total of 4,403 units have been sold representing a decrease of 9.1 per cent compared to last year.
