Kia announces 21 months of growth, new October incentives


Kia Canada hit blackjack with 21 consecutive months of sales increases on the heels of its best September in Canadian history.
Total Canadian sales for the month reached 4745 units, up 5.1 per cent versus Sept. 2009. Through the first nine months of the year, Kia Canada sales continued to out-pace the industry with a 16.3 per cent increase in 2010.

Last month’s strong performance lifted Kia to 42,333 units sold in 2010.

“Kia Canada’s sales success has developed through both conquesting from rival brands and retaining existing Kia customers,” the company said in a release.

Highlights included 1,406 Forte’s sold; good enough for a 42 per cent increase versus Sept. 2009

Kia’s urban crossover, the Soul, moved 914 vehicles sold as the all-new Sorento hit 935 total sales in Canada for the month of September.

The automaker also announced new October incentives that retailers will offer until the end of this month. For the first time, 0 per cent financing over an 84-month term will be offered on all 2011Kia Rios and several other select 2010 and 2011 models.
