Hyundai Canada’s latest promotion is promising a little relief at the pump for drivers.
A new fuel rebate program in partnership with Petro Canada will have the automaker offering gas cards discounting 30 cents per litre until 2012 with the purchase of select Hyundai vehicles.
“Our new fuel card program will help the average Canadian significantly cut their fuel bill for the rest of this year,” said John Vernile, V-P of marketing at Hyundai Auto Canada Corp.
“Given the rising price of gasoline, we think this program is the perfect complement to our fuel efficient range of vehicles. I can’t think of any other program offering this deep of a discount off of a litre of gasoline.”
Vernile added that the program has been made available on top of all existing incentives for any new 2011 Accent, Elantra Touring, Sonata, Tucson, or Santa Fe.
For example, the Sonata offers 8.7 L/100 km in the city and 5.7 L/100 km on the highway and has been the number-one selling intermediate sedan in Canada through the first quarter of 2011.
The program will reduce the per-litre cost for gasoline by $0.30 for up to 1,200 litres of fuel.
The company said the program is “in celebration” of the best first quarter for vehicle sales in company history.
