Nissan LEAF hits Facebook, Twitter

Created with thoughts of bringing together LEAF advocates and supporters, Nissan Canada has launched a special Facebook page for its upcoming electric vehicle.
“Canadians have already demonstrated their avid interest in the Nissan LEAF with thousands of handraisers already signed up on our consumer website,” said Judy Wheeler, director of marketing for Nissan Canada.
“We’re now taking this one step further and providing an interactive forum in which fans can interact, ask questions and learn more about the revolutionary Nissan LEAF.”
In addition to the new Facebook page, the LEAF also has a dedicated Twitter account (@NissanLEAF_CAN) where the automaker says it will share “up-to-date news and information on all things related to the Nissan LEAF’s arrival in Canada this fall.”
A dedicated moderator from Nissan will manage the Facebook and Twitter accounts, and engage in conversation with and answer questions from fans across Canada.
This expanded digital strategy builds upon the existing Nissan LEAF microsite that launched last April.
“As Nissan LEAFs start to arrive on Canadian streets a little later this year we expect Facebook and Twitter to become the go-to for both fans and the curious alike,” added Wheeler.
