Store sells cars directly within Facebook

Should anyone wonder what the next evolution in the use of Facebook for car dealerships is, Bryan Honda out of North Carolina has a suggestion.

The store says it will make history on Cyber Monday (Nov. 30) by being the first car dealership to sell vehicles in real-time directly within the Facebook platform.

Customers who are so inclined can purchase vehicles from Bryan Honda while inside the Facebook module by way of Stripe.com. Beta testing has started with a few of its new and used models.

“When shoppers see a vehicle they like, they’ll have a few options. They can view and watch videos for each during a live Periscope viewing, which will offer a first-person perspective of each vehicle,” the company said.

Bryan Honda general manager Tim Roussell said the store is always trying to stay on the cutting edge of technology.

“We studied and modeled our dealership from companies like Amazon, Netflix, and Zappos, and then we integrate our processes and systems to emulate them. You could call us Hondazon,” he noted.

Roussell said new digital technology could potentially cut face-to-face time down to just minutes when completing a vehicle transaction.

Rico Glover, digital strategist and certified social and community manager for the Fayetteville dealership, said that while most dealerships are still wondering if social media can sell vehicles, their store is setting records.

“Some days we sell more vehicles in one day just using digital than others sell in a month, and Facebook is our number one lead referral for engagement. We are the only dealership in the country with a sales team dedicated to social sales,” he boasted.

Customers interested in the offer can search for ‘cyber Monday car deals’ or ‘cars for sale Facebook.’
