Once again the Canadian AutoWorld team is pounding the showroom floors in Las Vegas today as the aftermarket extravaganza continues.
Things
got going this morning with an update on financing for the automotive
aftermarket. Roberts Bass and Pete Loescher from BB&T Capital
Markets shed a little insight onto the market for bank financing and
alternative sources of capital.
Bass
said the credit market is thawing in the U.S., a considerable amount of
corporate credit problems will continue to drain the system for a while
to come.
After
the seminar, the team hit the international market at APPEX where
companies from China, Thailand, Mexicoand nearly all points in between
were there to set up deals.
Today
is Dealer Day at SEMA with a number of programs specifically aimed at
new car dealers. The Canadian AutoWorld team will be front and centre
for a number of seminars so look for complete coverage in the next
issue of Canadian AutoWorld.
