Arturo Elias has been replaced by Kevin Williams as president of General Motors Canada.
The announcement will see Elias, who has held the position since 2006, move to the automakers public policy centre. Incoming president Williams is coming from the companys parts and service operation.
The Canadian Press is reporting that the shake-up in Oshawa was a part of a broader overhaul of GMs North American management team.
GM North American president Mark Reuss said the moves are all a part of his plan on how to better structure the organization.
The premise of the structure is simple - a clearer marketing focus to sell more vehicles, and freeing our sales and service experts to focus on customers and dealers, Reuss said in a statement.
